Rolling Hills Veterinary Services, PC (RHVS) was established in July of 1998 by Tracy B. Whitaker, DVM. Dr.Whitaker is a 1990 graduate of Tuskegee University. Following his studies in veterinary school, he went on to the University of Tennessee and completed an internship in large animal medicine and surgery. In 1991, he moved to Anniston, Alabama where he worked as an associate until 1998 at which time Rolling Hills Veterinary Services, PC was established. The name was formed because of the rolling hills and mountains of the area and the pleasant feelings it portrays. RHVS sits at the intersection of US Highway 78 East and Alabama Highway 9 at the foot of Heflin Mountain. It is conveniently located for the eastern regions of Calhoun County, the southwestern portions of Cleburne County and the northwestern part of Randolph County. Dr. Whitaker is an honest veterinarian that will always try to give alternatives to clients regardless of their financial status. He always practices quality veterinary medicine and surgery and at all times will try to educate clients on the best care of their pets. He is happily married to Marcia Whitaker formerly of Pell City, Alabama. He has also been the Cleburne County Rabies Officer since 1999.

Kristy Cobb is a full-time veterinary assistant at RHVS since 2000. She has a genuine love for all animals and is a primary caregiver for your pets. She is well versed in the practice of general veterinary medicine and highly motivated to keep your pet in the best of care. She has a wonderful personality and her kindness to your pet will be expressed through her actions. Her hard work has made RHVS what it is today. She has dogs and cats for pets. Kristy is married to Scotty Cobb  and they have 2 children, Brianna and Alex.

Stephanie Hammond has been a member of our team since 2002. She is very caring and always excited about learning new things about your pet. She has been in the veterinary field for several years and her unique experiences has brought new concepts to RHVS. She has an interest in small and large animals which means she can deal with both types of clients. Stephanie is an asset at our facility and loves her work. She has dogs, cats, horses and chickens for pets. She is very outgoing and loves to be outside with nature. Stephanie is married to Jeremy Hammond. They have no children but they do have a dog named Chloe that may as well be their child.

Megan Fields is the newest member of our veterinary team. She has a genuine love for animals having several horses that she and her family have trained and raised for years. She also has several cats and dogs at her home. She has a great personality and a great sense of humor. She is currently enrolled in college courses and works part time here at RHVS.

Christi Chesnut is one of the brightest members of our team. She has recently graduated from college and has been with RHVS since 2002. She is an upcoming second year student at Auburn University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. She started out as a volunteer veterinary assistant at the age of 14 and has been with us since. She has a wonderful personality. She has a love for pets that is beyond enjoyment. Her love for animals is seen on a daily basis. She only works part-time but gets the most out of her time while she is there. She has a dog, cats, rabbit, cows, quail and pheasants.
